Could you be the full-time Overhead Catenary System (OCS) Construction Manager in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your construction management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and solution-oriented teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and timely execution of OCS installation site works, from preparation to completion and handover. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, construction, project management, external stakeholders), lead the development of procurement activities, and oversee compliance with Alstom’s EHS rules to foster a culture of safety and excellence.
You’ll specifically take care of planning and progress follow-up, as well as supplier and subcontractor management, but also ensure quality and configuration management until handover to Testing & Commissioning (T&C).
We’ll look to you for:
- Leading the development of procurement activities, including RFQ preparation and subcontractor selection
- Ensuring compliance with Alstom EHS rules and promoting a zero-accident culture
- Overseeing planning setup and on-time execution of projects
- Managing site interfaces with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinating quality management in collaboration with the QA/QC team
- Managing construction interfaces with other subsystems (e.g., trackworks, signalling, civil works)
- Supporting the definition of installation strategies for OCS activities
- Collecting and sharing Return of Experience (REX) from regional centers

- Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Civil Works, or related scientific fields
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction oversight and management of major OCS projects (brownfield and greenfield)
- Strong knowledge of OCS works under engineering hours/white period
- Familiarity with Canadian standards and common practices
- Fluency in English; a second language is appreciated
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving ability and resilience
- Analytical and critical thinking capabilities
- Decision-making ability

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is$120,000 – $150,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
