About the role

Job Description

The University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream position in the Department of Computer Science at the rank of Assistant Professor, with a focus on Knowledge Systems, Infrastructures, Communities, and Cultures. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2024, or shortly thereafter.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in the area of Knowledge Systems, Infrastructures, Communities, and Cultures.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science.
  • Supervise graduate students and contribute to the academic community.

Required Qualifications

  • A PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • A strong record of research and publications in relevant areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in interdisciplinary research.
  • Ability to engage with diverse communities and stakeholders.

Other Relevant Details

  • The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic life of the department and the university.
