The Senior Strategy Director inspires confidence among senior leaders by adding strategic value on the spot. You guide the team's output and actively seek growth opportunities, taking accountability for both client success and the agency's vision. Above all, you share responsibility for setting the agency's creative direction and pushing the team's creative ambition.

You are the ultimate creative partner, helping lead the strategic vision for the agency and client, ensuring the work is not only effective, but consistently ambitious and groundbreaking. You’re integral in helping shape the future of strategy at the agency, championing the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies to create a competitive advantage by efficiently unearthing insights that shape, support and inspire creative thinking. And you seamlessly collaborate with senior leaders to optimize agency excellence and strategy’s role in the agency and creative processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creative Contribution: The ultimate creative partner, leading the strategic vision for the agency and client. You help ensure the work is not only effective but consistently groundbreaking and creatively ambitious.

• Strategic Planning: Help develop innovative approaches to optimize the strategic planning and creative briefing processes while also providing guidance that helps sharpen all creative output in our ongoing pursuit of creative excellence.

• Research & Development Optimization: Ability to develop an original research framework that results in groundbreaking new insights and guide your team to do the same. Help shape the future of strategy at Cossette, championing and leading the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies to unlock new forms of value for our clients and unlock a competitive advantage for the agency.

• Management & Leadership: Collaborate with senior leaders to identify areas to optimize creative and executional excellence. Identify opportunities to optimize strategy’s role across agency and creative processes. And identify areas of optimization in which AI can help improve your team and agency’s performance.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Play a lead role in sensing and solving emergent challenges in the midst of complex and quickly-moving initiatives. All while actively supporting elements you know are important to your colleagues in the fulfillment of their roles in the agency and agency’s processes.

• Agency Growth: Help unearth organic growth opportunities across the businesses you touch and the agency as a whole, while also helping lead new business proposals and pitches, both internally and in the room.

What you bring to the table

• 8-10+ years of experience in strategic roles within an agency or related environment, with proven and recognized strategic expertise.
• Ability to get more out of an individual or team, inspiring them to go above and beyond in their efforts and thinking.
• A knack for containing and diffusing chaos, setting the tone and providing team confidence through drive clarity, focus and inspiring action regardless of challenges thrown the team’s way.
• Experience must include integrating AI and other emerging technologies to improve our strategic output.
• Experience in helping build the insights, brand strategy, comms planning, and experience design capabilities in a fast paced agency environment with evidence of breakthrough innovation across these disciplines.
• Deep understanding of, and ability to help guide, the creative development process in an agency environment.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, ability to maintain strong relationships with leadership teams across business leadership and creative communities.
• Driven by curiosity and actively engaged in sharing thought leadership relevant to client opportunities.
