Commercial Estimator – Lynden Door Canada Location: Abbotsford BC

As the Commercial Estimator for Lynden Door, you will be part of a team of sales professionals who are responsible for building and maintaining sustainable relationships with customers. Our clientele is primarily door distributors who pursue work in the Multi-Family, Hospitality and Institutional segments. You will be required to communicate with our clients, prepare quotes and estimates, and follow-up on those bids to win business for Lynden Door Canada.
Hours: Monday – Friday, full time 40 hours per week – normal business hours
Location: In office at our Abbotsford BC facility
Responsibilities

Prepare routine estimates under general supervision for winning commercial projects for Lynden Door.

Develop strong relationships, on behalf of Lynden Door, with all commercial architectural customers within Canada.

You will be responsible for cultivating an intimate understanding of their specific needs and market trends (product, price and service) to most effectively and accurately deliver estimates.

An alyze specifications, understand requirements, confirm lead time, cost, materials and labor estimates, and coordinate appropriate value propositions.

Consult with clients, vendors, the Lynden Door Purchasing department, and senior management to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

Help to monitor and maintain current cost data and architectural/commercial pricing.

Develop and maintain expertise related to all facets of the Architectural and Commercial Door applications (e.g., fire door listings, sound ratings, hardware, etc.).

Present information to senior management and customers.

Conduct self professionally and courteously at all levels.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Strong organization and decision-making ability ; Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, and Outlook

Willingness to learn products, systems and processes

Innovative/Critical thinker with strong numeric ability and reasoning

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as margin, mark up, discounts, percentages, area, volume, etc.

Customer Service oriented/attention to accuracy, detail, quality and service

Willingness to pursue additional training, classes, etc., to enhance skills
