About the role
As Accounts Payable, you will play a key role within the Accounting team, ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient processing of vendor invoices, payments, and related transactions. You will provide reliable support and clear guidance to internal teams and external suppliers, maintaining strong relationships through consistency, professionalism, and attention to detail. This role will uphold strong controls, resolve discrepancies proactively, and ensure accuracy in every transaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process cheque requests and expense reports on a regular basis.
- Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices.
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable.
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries
- Fill in for reception on an infrequent basis as required.
Qualifications:
- Have the legal right to work in Canada.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High school diploma.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- 1-2 years experience with accounts payable or general accounting is an asset.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong analytic abilities.
Working Conditions:
Monday to Friday, on-site.
Working in an office environment with access to a sit-stand desk.
