About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Integrity Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and ensuring the effectiveness of integrity programs for assets within the Enhanced Distribution Integrity Management Program (EDIMP) scope. You will also provide technical support for distribution assets on integrity matters and lead the preparation of technical materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and complete integrity plans for Enhanced DIMP assets, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (CSA Z662 and O.Reg 210/01) as prescribed by provincial and federal regulatory authorities (Ontario Energy Board, Technical Standards and Safety Authority).
- Perform integrity assessments based on available data to ensure all Enhanced DIMP hazards are effectively identified, investigated, assessed, and prioritized for mitigation.
- Assess Enhanced DIMP asset hazards to understand asset condition, fitness for service, and associated risks, requiring knowledge of operating practices, design requirements, manufacturing practices, integrity inspections, anomaly assessments, cost analysis, process safety, fluid mechanics, metallurgy, welding, and corrosion.
- Develop Enhanced DIMP documentation following the company’s internal processes and practices.
- Continuously improve the Enhanced DIMP program based on management reviews, effectiveness reviews, external independent validation observations, or internal assessment findings, updating the program and associated documentation accordingly.
- Support the development and review of inputs to the Risk Model related to Enhanced DIMP Assets, collaborating with partners to issue recommendations for integrity program risk-based plans.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create and complete integrity program risk mitigation scenarios and strategies related to Enhanced DIMP assets, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or Canadian jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline engineering, pipeline integrity, gas transmission, or distribution operations.
- Experience and understanding of pipeline design, construction practices, field operations, and non-destructive inspection methods for natural gas pipelines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
