Job Description:
Edgewood Treatment Centre and the larger EHN Network is committed to integrating research and measurement-based care practices into regular daily structure to maximize outcomes and ensure the highest level of patient care. To that end, Edgewood is hiring a Research Coordinator to manage the day-to-day data collection procedures and support research practicum students onsite in Nanaimo.
Duties:
- Recruiting, interviewing, and training research assistants (RAs)
- Managing RA scheduling
- Patient survey scheduling
- Data collection
- Data entry
- Maintaining data integrity
- Communicating with clinical staff and management where needed
- Reviewing psychometric scales being used
- Assisting in literature reviews as needed
- Ensuring research standards uphold the Vancouver Island University (VIU) Research Ethics Board (REB) conditions
- Preparing documents for annual REB review as required
- Preparing other abstracts, posters and presentations as required
- Research liaison for Edgewood Senior Executive Director, Clinical Director, Director of Trauma & Spiritual Care, and Extended Care Supervisor, and other team leads on research questions and outcomes
- Assist with research presentations when appropriate
- Ensuring best practices are being used
- Other duties as assigned by the National Research Coordinator
