Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Provide access control to all clients entering the building
• Responsible in directing clients to the appropriate area or help them to get there.
• Respond if any alarm is activated.
• Strong level of attention to detail
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and staffs
• Escorting contractors or others as needed
• Conduct security patrols of the building randomly throughout shift
• Any other duties as per the client

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma -*MUST*Ontario Security Guard License -*MUST*Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
• Ability to complete frequent patrols
• Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently)
• Excellent customer service and reception skills
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Must be able to de-escalate and work well with others

WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:

• Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.50 per hour

• Hours of work: 3 days a week and the days change between Monday-Friday 0830-1700

• Location: 595 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario

• No parking on-site; TTC accessible
