OpenText is seeking an analytical and curious HR Data Scientist. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who is passionate about using data to improve hiring, enhance employee experiences, and support strategic workforce planning. You’ll work with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and People Analytics teams to uncover insights, build dashboards, and help drive data-informed decision-making across the company.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze recruiting, talent, and workforce data to identify trends, correlations, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support leaders across HR and Talent Acquisition.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting needs.
  • Support predictive modeling efforts related to candidate pipelines, hiring demand, time-to-fill, and other talent metrics.
  • Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy and quality across HR systems.
  • Assist in the development of automated reporting, self-service tools, and scalable analytics processes.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis to uncover insights that enhance hiring strategies and optimize candidate experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quarterly business reviews and strategic planning initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, HR Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel, and/or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
  • Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a learning mindset.
  • Interest in HR, recruiting, workforce trends, and people analytics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Coursework or internship experience in HR analytics, data modeling, or predictive analytics.
  • Experience with Workday, ATS systems, or HRIS platforms.
  • Exposure to statistical methods such as regression, clustering, forecasting, or classification.

Salary Rang e: $70,000 - $90,000 Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
