Nisa Foundation is a community-based charity that has promoted safety, security, and mental wellness for racialized women across Canada since 2014. The organization provides toll-free peer-to-peer counseling services, transitional homes for women & children fleeing abuse or homelessness, and facilitates educational workshops. Nisa Foundation's mission is to transform communities by engaging, equipping, and enriching the lives of women and children to reach their full potential.
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing all marketing related activities for the NF Programs, including Nisa Homes, Nisa Helpline, and Nisa Learning; planning and strategizing, processing design requests, generating content for online and print marketing, implementing a brand strategy, executing all social media campaigns, and reporting all marketing related developments to stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
Email Marketing
- Research upcoming awareness days, campaigns, and trends for monthly content planning.
- Create a monthly email plan and draft content with relevant stories, topics, and statistics.
- Coordinate visuals with designers, provide feedback, and finalize assets.
- Manage the review process and schedule emails for timely delivery.
- Track performance analytics and update email stats to improve open/click rates.
Website Management
- Identifay areas requiring updates, gather revised copy/images, and coordinate with the web team.
- Create and manage landing pages, including research, wireframing, meta titles/descriptions (English & French), and design coordination.
- Collaborate with web and translation team to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
Event Marketing
- Create and update event pages (Raisley + Event Calendar App).
- Draft city-specific promotional emails and Meta Ads copy.
- Prepare briefs for designers, update platforms wih final designs, and submit ads for review.
- Develop and distribute post-event surveys/feedback forms.
Fundraising Platforms (Raisley)
- Update campaign/event/appeal pages with accurate info, goals, domain names, and messaging.
- Refresh ticketing, donation settings, social sharing blurbs, images, and automated messages.
- Ensure P2P campaigns are fully updated across sign-up, profile, and team pages.
Content & Bloging
- Research blog topics aligned with awareness days and community interests.
- Plan monthly blog topics aligned with awareness days and community interests.
- Plan monthly blog schedules and conduct keyword research (e.g., UberSuggest).
- Draft weekly blog posts with optimized meta data and coordinate French translations.
- Coordinate images with designers, submit for review, and liaise with web team for publishing.
- Conduct quality checks on formatting, links, and visuals before publishing.
Lead Generation Campaigns
- Develop campaign-specific lead magnet plans.
- Coordinate content and design for leadgens across landing pages, emails, ads, and posts.
- Create sign-up forms, automations, and copy on Keela.
- Manage campaign lifecycle: launch, monitor, and take down upon completion.
Photography, video &Event Coverage
- Coordinate photography and videography/reel creation at Office, Events, booths, and Nisa Homes locations.
- Collect images and videos from events, workshops, home activities, donations, trainings, and outreach initiatives.
Coverage and Ad Hoc Duties
- Manage ad-hoc design/content requests from other departments.
- Clarify requirements, prepare briefs, and coordinate with designers for tiely delivery.
- Maintain regular communication with internal teams to anticipate needs and support upcoming project.
- Step in to cover tasks when other coordinators are on vacation.
- Participate in additional meetings and undertake related responsibilities as reasonably assigned, including special projects, creoss-departmental initiatives, and other tasks necessarry to support the effective operation of the organization.

- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills with an understanding of SEO best practices.

- Ability to analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a marketing role
- Computer literacy with MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and Google Apps
- Literacy in Design Software (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is an asset.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the Muslim charity/not-for-profit sector
