We are seeking a proactive and entrepreneurial Project Manager to play a key role in supporting the growth of our team in meeting the demands of EV charging infrastructure in Canada.

Overview Join our innovative team as we partner with BC Hydro and utilities across Canada in providing end-to-end electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and utility connection designs.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management, aimed at delivering both EVSE and utility distribution designs.

Responsibilities

  • Determine EV charging site design layout, including placement of chargers and kiosks, by applying broad knowledge of EV driver experience, bylaw, permitting, and engineering factors.
  • Conduct comprehensive site feasibility studies for proposed EV charging sites, incorporating electrical, civil, and utility connection factors into the site assessment.
  • Complete material takeoffs, prepare Class D cost estimates, and identify cost risks for EV charging station sites,
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to deliver required engineering design packages, including but not limited to electrical, utility, civil, structural and geotechnical scope.
  • Prepare detailed design packages at various stages, manage sub-consultants and contractors, and handle all permitting and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive project timelines, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Support construction coordination and completion of project. Navigate field design questions and subconsultant engagement.
  • Lead initiatives to innovate and improve design methodologies, reducing time to market while enhancing efficiency and reliability.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in EV charging infrastructure, incorporate best practices into project designs, and propose deployment of new technology where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of project management experience in construction, engineering, or utility industries.
  • Technical diploma or Engineering degree from an accredited university.
  • Passion for sustainability, and knowledge of EV charging design best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Must be personable and effective in client and stakeholder interactions.
  • Must reside in British Columbia (Lower mainland or Okanagan preferred).

Additional Assets

  • Knowledge & expertise in the realm of EV site layout design.
  • Strong understanding of the multidisciplinary activities required for EV site design.
  • Experience managing client and stakeholder relationships to support successful project outcomes.
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, and cost throughout a project lifecycle.

Salary Range : $40.82 to $52.79 per hour
