About the role
As a Senior UAT Engineer, you will execute and manage all User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for the implementation of the new Empower - Loan Origination System (LOS). This role is critical in ensuring the new platform and associated digital lending channels meet all business, functional, compliance requirements prior to production deployment. A strong background in financial services, LOS platforms (preferably Empower), and leading UAT in an agile or iterative environment is essential. . This is a critical, hands-on role focused on achieving system stability, data integrity, and high-quality deployment across a complex, multi-system lending ecosystem.
In this role, you will
- Execute hands-on manual testing of the Empower LOS upgrade features, fixes, and affected business workflows (e.g., origination, underwriting, closing) within the defined timeframe.
- UAT Strategy & Execution: Develop and drive a unified UAT strategy for all 7 integrated services. Must be able to roll up sleeves to write and execute complex, end-to-end test cases validating bidirectional data flow and functionality between Empower and all services.
- Defect Triage and Reporting: Own the entire defect lifecycle. Lead daily defect triage meetings with Business, Development, and Vendor (Empower) teams to prioritize, assign, track resolution, and manage retesting efforts.
- Robust Reporting & Stakeholder Management: Generate thorough, data-driven status reports for executives, clearly articulating system readiness, residual risk, and providing firm go/no-go recommendations. Coordinate testing efforts among Business, IT, and Vendor teams.
- Integrity Validation: Ensure rigorous validation of pricing rules, data mapping, and functionality across all integrated systems.
- Go-Live Readiness: Obtain formal UAT sign-off from all relevant business owners, confirming the system is fit for purpose and ready for production deployment
- Deliver a clear, data-driven recommendation on the readiness of the Empower LOS environment for production deployment post-upgrade, based on successful test completion.
Required skills: what you need to be considered
- Overall 7-12 years of manual/functional Testing in Banking domain.
- 5+ years UAT/QA Management experience in complex system integration projects.
- Hands-on experience with the Empower LOS is highly preferred.
- Mandatory Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of the lending/mortgage industry, specifically loan origination, capital markets, and pricing engine integrations.
- Project Focus: Proven track record managing UAT for the simultaneous integration of multiple (4+) third-party services with a core LOS.
