What is the opportunity
The Senior Manager, Data & AI Strategy is responsible to drive the translation of business objectives into actionable data and AI initiatives. This role will partner with Insurance business leaders to identify and business case data-driven solutions that enhance competitive positioning, optimize operations, and drive measurable business value across the insurance value chain. This role will also be responsible for continuous business value tracking and providing competitive intelligence on Data and AI industry practices.
What will you do?
- Partner with Insurance business leaders across underwriting, claims, distribution, and product development to understand strategic priorities, growth targets, and market positioning goals
- Analyze RBCI financials to identify key levers where data and AI can positively impact business performance
- Monitor insurance industry trends and competitive AI/data strategies to identify market opportunities and potential threats
- Create and maintain executive dashboards tracking Data & AI investments relative to value generation and ROI
- Identify AI/data initiatives that directly support insurance P&L objectives and competitive differentiation and collaborate with Digital Strategy team to ensure strategic alignment and develop multi-year initiative roadmaps
- Develop frameworks to attribute and measure business value generated by data products and AI initiatives
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have:
- 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, product management, or business strategy roles
- 3+ years of experience in insurance industry with deep understanding of underwriting, claims, and distribution processes
- Demonstrated experience with data analytics, AI/ML implementation, or digital transformation initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
Nice-to-Have:
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to C-suite audiences
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor relationship management experience
- Change management experience driving cultural transformation initiatives
