Are you looking for more than just another Controller role?

Our client has launched a brand-new manufacturing facility in Mississauga and is seeking a Manufacturing Controller to play a key leadership role in the plant's success. Backed by a well-established private equity group, the organization is investing heavily in its operations, systems, and future growth.

This is an opportunity to be part of something from the ground up. You'll work closely with the Plant Manager and senior leadership to build processes, improve financial performance, and provide the insights that drive operational decisions. What You'll Do

As the Manufacturing Controller, you'll oversee all financial activities for the plant while serving as a strategic partner to operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations Managing standard costing, inventory accounting, BOMs, COGS, and manufacturing cost analysis Monitoring inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and variance reporting Partnering with operations to improve productivity, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning Analyzing production performance, labour, material, and overhead costs to identify opportunities for improvement Developing meaningful KPIs and operational reporting for plant leadership Supporting ERP enhancements and finance process improvements Managing capital expenditures, fixed assets, and financial controls Ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements

What You Bring

CPA designation Minimum five years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance or plant accounting Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, cost analysis, and manufacturing operations Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment Ability to translate financial information into actionable insights for operational leaders Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach Food manufacturing experience is considered a strong asset
