The Channel Mgt & Distribution Services Agent will contribute to the overall success of the company by providing customer service and intermediate administrative support to the Channel Mgt & Distribution Services Department. This role is based at Coast Hotels Corporate Office in Vancouver, BC.
Channel Management & Distribution Services is all about ensuring that guests can see our locations and rooms and rates online. The Channel Mgt & Distribution Services team makes sure that all online booking sites, travel agencies and even our Coast Hotels website have the right information. This role combines data entry, connection maintenance, site maintenance, content management, reporting analytics, and service to our internal customers (our hotels).
If you like entering and uploading information and watching it turn into products that guests and hotel partners will be able to choose this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as a key point of contact for Channel Mgt & Distribution Services.
- Conducts regular Booking engine maintenance procedures
- Provides specialized data entry services
- Processes, follows up and resolves Channel Mgt & Distribution Services support tickets and technical issues
- Day to day operations of Channel Mgt & Distribution Services, including rate management, GDS, and website maintenance
- Ensures a consistent and professional representation of products and services.
- Works to meet or exceed team goals.
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Post Secondary School Diploma
- Available to work occasional weekends
- 2 years of related experience an asset
- 6 months in a customer service role
- Proven ability to learn and operate new technologies
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Some experience with conflict resolution
- Intermediate level in the use of MS Office Suite and HTML
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment
