What You’ll Do

Fabrication Execution: Read, understand, and execute fabrication instructions from work orders, diagrams, drawings, and CIS standards to ensure accurate and quality welds. Welding Operations: Perform manual welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions, maintaining proper arc length and speed to achieve specified weld profiles and depth of fusion. Repair and Preparation: Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes following certified welding procedures; prepare parts for welding by grooving or scarfing surfaces using air carbon arc or oxy-fuel gouging and grinding. Cutting and Finishing: Cut and prepare workpieces using oxy-fuel cutting and grinding tools to meet job specifications. Daily Role: The successful candidate will be actively engaged in welding and fabrication tasks daily, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety and technical standards. Success Indicators: Success will be measured by the ability to consistently produce welds that meet or exceed quality standards, maintain a safe work environment, and contribute positively to team goals. What You’ll Bring

Must-haves

High school diploma or GED

CWB certification preferred 3+ years of related work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings. Proficiency in basic math including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry to calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Technical certifications including Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), , Forklift and Overhead Crane Safety, and WHMIS.

Nice-to-haves

Experience working in a mining or heavy industrial environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work weekly rotation shifts including days and afternoons.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates starting at $28.00+/hour, flexibility based on years of related training/ experience.
