Territory Manager
Position Summary: The Territory Manager is a key role within the organization, demonstrating commitment to the growth of Roseland Produce. The successful incumbent is dedicated to our strategy and process while providing service excellence to increase customer base, sales dollars, and gross margin. Theywill also be a decisive and results oriented contributor who fully utilizes both sales skills and influential abilities to motivate change and meet the organization’s goals. Our ideal candidate will be a professional sales hunter by nature, with proven ability to research prospective customers to ensure they meet our ideal target market while possessing the ability to get in front of the decision maker to present a professional sales proposal.

Key Responsibilities:
- Grow sales and margin dollars within a designated territory in the assignedarea by increasing business with new and existing customers, ensuring category development and overall customer profitability
- Collaborate with all Roseland department teams including Customer Service, Warehouse, Purchasing, Category Management, and Traffic to analyze processes and maximize profits
- Review former Roseland accounts in the territory and investigate market competition
- Pursue growth and expansion of Hotel, Catering, Banquet Hall, Retirement Home, and Golf Course accounts
- Provide individualized sales plan by identifying product lines which best fit the customer including advertising, promotions, etc.Proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers to meet or exceed established quotas via prospecting, networking and referral activities within designated territory
- Provide support for the management of credits and accounts receivablesDevelop an individual territory strategy and communicate updates regularly on progress
Qualifications:
- Previous Produce/Foodservice experience and understanding of customer challenges required
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s license and use of personal vehicle during the performance of duties as required
- Knowledge of the sales cycle and experience managing a strategic funnel list of customers required
- Strong decision making skills, and flexible to adapt effectively to change
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask to manage competing priorities required
- Excellent presentation and communication skills required
- Superior level of experience providing distribution solutions and negotiation skills
- Must have proficient computer skills, should be familiar with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to execute individual and company business growth plans
- Post secondary education preferred
- Flexible to participate in occasional work activities outside of regular business hours including sales conferences and meetings
- Must be willing to travel
