Summing it up

The Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests, staff, and visitors. This role involves scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and communication between housekeeping staff and other departments.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including room assignments and task delegation.
  • Monitor daily workflows, assign tasks based on priorities, and implement time management strategies to meet service standards and deadlines.
  • Monitor cleaning standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as needed send to Assistant GM for approval.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant GM on completion of quarterly, monthly, and weekly inventories for the housekeeping department.
  • Assist in training new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and front desk teams to address issues efficiently.

Who you are

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or housekeeping management is a plus.
    • Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality coordination preferred.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housekeeping management software.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
    • Prior supervisory experience, excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead a team and manage conflict.
    • Valid drivers’ license and flexible schedule.
    • Physical ability to work, bend, crouch, climb stairs and be in motion/standing for prolonged periods.
    • Physical ability to carry or lift up to 50 pounds.
