About the role

Your Opportunity: The Diet Clerk III is responsible for processing changes to diet orders and meal selection information as requested by the patient or resident or as directed by the dietitian. The position updates computerized and manual systems and distributes nourishment labels, meal tickets, menus and food production reports as required. Please note: Classification under Review.

Description: The Clerk III provides a wide range of clerical support, with varying duties depending on the specified program/department. The Clerk III performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

    Required Qualifications: High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.

    Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months of Cbord and Connect Care computer programs experience in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in office procedures and computer applications in a Windows environment including word processing and spreadsheets related in last 2 years. Proficient in typing. Ability to read, write, clearly speak and understand English. Basic knowledge of dietary guidelines.

    Preferred Qualifications: Completion of courses in or related to Food & Nutrition with exposure to therapeutic diet writing from a recognized post-secondary institute. Food Safe Certificate desired. Customer Service coursework, desired.
