About the role

What you'll do

The Associate Manager, eCommerce Digital Merchandising is an integral role in delivering Canadian Tire’s digital merchandising initiatives by creating engaging, conversion-focused, and customer-centric shopping experiences. Reporting to the Manager, Digital Merchandising, this role supports the Seasonal & Gardening division of the Canadian Tire website, including major seasonal categories such as Christmas and Patio.

Working closely with the Merchandising, Brand, Marketing, Digital Merchandising Operations, UX, Creative, and Analytics teams, the Associate Manager ensures that category experiences, seasonal campaigns, and curated content are delivered seamlessly to the customer while meeting commercial goals and business objectives. You will support the day-to-day operations of the Digital (eCommerce) Merchandising team to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. The Digital Merchandising team is responsible for driving eCommerce and brick-and-mortar sales by working collaboratively across the organization to execute a strong digital strategy that prioritizes the customer and drives results for the business.

  • Own day-to-day digital merchandising priorities for the Seasonal & Gardening business on canadiantire.ca, ensuring the right products, promotions, and seasonal events are featured on the site and supported through digital channels

  • Plan, strategize, and execute on-site support for key categories, campaigns, and launches in partnership with Merchandising, Brand, Marketing, Digital Merch Operations, UX, Creative, and Analytics teams

  • Translate business and merchandising objectives into clear, customer-friendly online experiences that drive sales, engagement, and conversion

  • Work closely with the Consultant, Digital Merchandising to ensure timely, accurate on-site updates to support key category initiatives, events, and campaigns

  • Use performance data and customer insights to evaluate site performance and make recommendations to scale improvements across the site

  • Anticipate changing priorities, risks, and competing stakeholder requirements, adjusting plans and proactively communicating trade-offs to ensure consistent, high-quality execution

  • Leverage competitor and market insights to optimize browse & discovery (navigation, onsite search, taxonomy, filters/attributes), improving findability and conversion

  • Identify, scope, and partner on A/B tests and personalization opportunities, using results to optimize and iterate on browse, category, and campaign experiences

  • Influence content strategy and requirements by partnering with the Creative Production team and key stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and deliver new photography for site experiences

  • Support and improve digital merchandising processes, frameworks, and ways of working to increase speed, consistency, and quality

  • Act as a SME, providing digital merchandising and eCommerce expertise to partners and stakeholders to guide decisions and align on best practices

What you bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, digital operations, marketing, or a related role

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Marketing, UX, Analytics, and Operations, to deliver shared outcomes

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects with competing timelines in a fast-paced environment

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate ideas and insights, including presenting recommendations and results to senior stakeholders

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach with ability to leverage performance insights to inform strategy and recommendations

  • Customer-centric mindset with a solid understanding of online shopping behavior and how to balance customer needs with business objectives to drive sales, engagement, and conversion

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize competing stakeholder requests, communicate clear trade-offs, and make data-informed decisions

  • Action-oriented self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and ability to adapt to changes and navigate ambiguity

  • A process-improvement mindset, with experience identifying inefficiencies, simplifying workflows, and improving consistency across execution

  • Hands on experience with content management systems (CMS) and experimentation/personalization tools to support website updates and testing (AEM and Adobe Target preferred)

  • Experience with eCommerce analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metrics, etc.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) to support analysis, planning, and communication

  • A working knowledge of eCommerce best practices, UX principles, and SEO fundamentals, with an eye for clear, customer-friendly experiences

  • Critical thinking skills with natural curiosity and desire to learn

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000.00 and $106,000.00 per annum. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
