Strategy Planning drives the Bank’s high-level plans for achieving its vision, prioritizing objectives, competing successfully, optimizing financial performance, and attaining sustainable growth with its business model. The department is also responsible for the management of deposits, retail channel operation, Customer Satisfaction, marketing, KPI, general affair duties, and project management. The Associate, Strategy Planning supports the department in its efforts to effectively manage the deposits and retail operation of the bank, various bank service development projects, as well as CS activities.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Assist in reporting of detailed financial and operating metrics across the depository function.
- Provide specialized, high-touch administrative and operational assistance/guidance to front-line staff, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and exceptional client experience.
- Maintain and update the deposit products and service disclosures for compliance and efficiency.
- Conduct market research for benchmarking and report generation.
- Conduct internal analysis with the aim of analyzing customer behaviour, product/service usage for retail planning.
- Provide active compliance support in maintaining the department’s Policies and Procedures for alignment with the changing regulatory standards (Bank Act, CPA, FCAC, etc.)
- Communication with third-party vendors on various retail supports (CPA, BMO, CIBC, etc.)
- Monitoring, analyzing, and planning for the performance of customer-facing platforms such as Branch, internet banking and mobile app.
- Contribute in the department’s various projects and initiatives with direct impact on customer experience.
- Plan and facilitate Customer Satisfaction activities and events with the aim of setting standards for the Bank’s bank propositions.
- Bank website’s central email box management, including tracking, reporting, and analyzing the inquiries for swift resolution and identification of the recurring pain points.
- Actively participate in executing corporate-wide events and initiatives.
- Assist the team responsibilities with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
Work Experience Requirements: 1 to 2 years of work experience preferred.
- Branch work experience is preferred.
- Effective and efficient communication skills in writing and verbal, analytical thinking are essential.
- Able to quickly comprehend instructions, independently prioritize tasks/workloads, take initiative to complete given assignments/projects accurately while deadlines are met.
- Ability to work well as a team player and independently; proactive and flexible; adaptable to change.
- Proficient in MS Office Suites and a quick learner for business-related systems and programs.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
