About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head Of Organic Social based in Canada.

This is a fully remote leadership opportunity for an experienced organic social expert ready to build and scale a new business function from the ground up.

You will own the strategy, execution, and growth of organic social offerings while directly managing client success and performance outcomes.

The role combines hands-on content expertise, creative leadership, operational building, and commercial impact.

You will develop scalable systems, build a high-performing team, and create repeatable processes that support long-term growth.

Working across multiple brands and industries, you will transform organic social into a measurable growth channel connected to business results.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in autonomy, moves quickly, and enjoys creating structure in an entrepreneurial environment.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will lead the creation and expansion of an organic social function, starting with direct ownership of client accounts and evolving into building a scalable team and operating model. You will combine strategic thinking, creative execution, and performance measurement to deliver meaningful results for clients.

Own organic social strategy and execution across current client accounts, including content direction, publishing cadence, reporting, and optimization. Build the foundation of the organic social department, including processes, workflows, service offerings, and delivery standards. Develop scalable content systems using creator partnerships, user-generated content, paid assets, and repeatable production models. Create and package organic social services, including scopes, pricing structures, audits, and offerings that can be consistently delivered. Establish performance measurement frameworks focused on meaningful business outcomes such as growth, engagement, audience quality, and contribution to paid performance. Partner with sales and account teams on client pitches, strategic recommendations, audits, and expansion opportunities. Monitor social trends, cultural moments, emerging formats, and platform changes to create timely and relevant content strategies. Hire, mentor, and lead future team members, including strategists, producers, and editors, as the department grows. Build strong relationships with creators and develop repeatable systems for sourcing, briefing, and managing creator-driven content. Establish the long-term vision, playbook, and operational structure required to scale a profitable organic social practice.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a hands-on organic social leader who understands content creation, platform dynamics, audience growth, and performance marketing. You should be comfortable operating independently, building new systems, and balancing creative instincts with data-driven decision-making.

Proven experience managing organic social channels hands-on, either within an in-house marketing team, agency environment, or similar setting. Strong understanding of social platforms, including content formats, trends, algorithms, audience behaviors, and emerging opportunities. Ability to develop content strategies, define creative direction, identify winning hooks, and optimize based on performance insights. Experience creating and managing creator-led content programs, including briefing, directing, and scaling UGC workflows. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret dashboards, measure performance, and adjust strategies based on data. Experience working with multiple brands or clients simultaneously is preferred. Ability to connect organic social efforts with broader marketing objectives, including paid social performance and customer acquisition. Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence clients and internal teams. Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment where processes, tools, and teams need to be built from scratch. A builder mentality with the ability to take ownership, move quickly, and create structure in ambiguous situations. Previous agency experience or paid social expertise is considered a plus.

Benefits

Fully remote role with the flexibility to work from anywhere. Flexible working hours to support autonomy and work-life balance. Unlimited paid time off and sick days. Opportunity to build and lead a new business function from the ground up. High ownership role with direct visibility into company growth and client impact. Opportunity to work with recognized global brands across different industries. Fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal bureaucracy. Direct collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams. Significant opportunity for professional growth as the department scales.
