About the role

Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a Roadnet Router role available in Mississauga, ON. The Router/Dispatcher facilitates the efficient and timely delivery of customer orders using our Roadnet software package to generate the best possible routing solutions. The Router/Dispatcher monitors daily route performance and assists the Operations team in completing immediate route needs and adjustments.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 12:30 pm until 9:00pm, for this position you need to be flexible with overtime and slight changes in schedule due to operational needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish delivery routes that are cost-effective and compliant with Federal ELD / DOT guidelines
  • Utilize the Roadnet application to ensure delivery costs are held to company-expected run rates
  • Perform Roadnet application routing maintenance daily to ensure all locations have accurate information.
  • Route start times, pre/post trips, starting/ending depot, travel modes, color for mapping, assigned driver, equipment,
  • Plan maintenance of equipment will all Vendors
  • Perform a recap of the previous day's actual routing results; make necessary changes/adjustments
  • Communicate efficiently with drivers on the road
  • Collaborate with management to modify routes to accommodate the customers’ needs
  • Maintain an exceptional level of customer service, quality, and satisfaction
  • Help reship & handle inbound returns
  • Track deliveries and make the necessary adjustments for drivers and customers via Track-POD e-pod last mile solution

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of distribution, logistics, transportation, or related work experience.
  • 1-2 years Roadnet anywhere experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated organizational and process skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including routing software , Geotab HOS and other TMS applications.

Working/Other Conditions:

  • Indoor office environment, within a dry climate-controlled warehouse environment
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Prolong periods of sitting, and computer and phone use
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment – company supplied
  • Ability to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time
