Job#: 3010220 Job Description: Program Manager- Testing Director Apex Systems is a Global IT Services Firm, and our Staffing practice is looking for a Program Manager- Testing Director with experience working within a Financial Institution, to place at our client, a Big Five Bank. You will be joining a highly collaborative, fast paced and high performing team.

Length of Contract: 8 months, with possibility to extend
Working Location: Hybrid, 2 days a week, downtown Toronto.
Job Description As the Program Manager - Testing Director, Enterprise Programs, you will create and manage the Quality Assurance strategy and roadmap for a strategic program that will drive operational efficiency and productivity improvement. The program has high impact and high complexity spanning multiple lines of business and technology groups. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you’ll be focused on forging relationships, effectively managing risks and leverage relationships to promote, plan and execute successful SIT, UAT, PAT and E2E QA for the Program . How You’ll Succeed
- Testing leader – Lead the creation of an end-to-end Testing Roadmap and as well as SIT, UAT and PAT test Strategies by partnering with work package level Testing Managers and Leads.
- Stakeholder Management – Previous experience establishing and maintaining stakeholder and relationships across Business and Technology. Able to lead the preparation of clear, concise QA testing summary dashboards.
- Matrix Management – Must have strong impact through influence skills and experience working in a matrix environment in a large program. Should be able to form strong relationships at all levels, and partner with other teams to get deliverables done.
- Creative Problem Solving – Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, understand business context quickly and connect the dots. Must be comfortable operating at a strategic level and also driving into detail as needed, and back. Continuous improvement is part of your DNA.
Must Have Requirement:
- Experience in software development testing, automation, and software process improvement – 10+ years
- Expert level understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies – 10+ years
- Experience working in waterfall and agile teams in a QA function. Hands on experience working with HP ALM. Excellent communication skills to address issues and conflicts within quality assurance testing cycle – 10+ years
- A Quality Assurance professional with 10+ years successfully operating as a Program Level Test Lead in strategic programs, managing QA resources and multiple QA activities from different workstreams competing for the same environment
- 10+ years of financial services experience, developing QA roadmaps, QA strategies, and QA plans for large/complex programs, ensuring the QA plans of all workstreams are aligned to the program QA strategy objective and goals.
Nice to Have:
- PMP certification
- Knowledge of Cheque Processing (E.g. Day 1, Day 2, RDC)
- Retail banking experience
