Youth Counselor (Casual) Opportunity
The Youth Counselor plays a pivotal role as a main support figure for young individuals here at Vantage, working in rotating shifts to ensure around-the-clock support, seven days a week. They are an essential team member committed to delivering services to young people and families within a well-organized environment.
Who You Are
A team player and a positive role model
Skilled in building relationships with clients and staff with professional boundaries Strong oral and written communication skills Willingness to constantly learn and evolve Organized; with a strong focus on accurate and consistent record-keeping Creative problem solving Flexible and adaptive to change
What We Offer
Competitive salary based on education and experience
Shift differentials Flexible work schedule
Qualifications
Diploma or undergraduate degree in Human Services (or currently enrolled), e.g., Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields. Experience working with young people is preferred. Current certifications in Standard First Aid/Level C CPR, PIC, CYIM, Valid Driver’s License, and Driver’s Abstract.
