IT Data & Financial Operations Analyst
About the role
About the Role We are seeking an experienced IT Data & Financial Operations Analyst to support operational excellence across the Information Services organization. This role is responsible for IT governance, financial operations, reporting and analytics, vendor management support, and process automation. The successful candidate will partner with IT, Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and business stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, improve governance processes, support IT financial management, and identify opportunities to automate and streamline operational workflows. Key Responsibilities IT Financial Management & Governance ● Support IT financial management (ITFM) processes, including spend tracking, governance reporting, and operational reviews ● Administer IT spend approval processes and governance workflows ● Support continuous improvements to IT financial management and vendor governance processes ● Assist with financial reporting, data validation, and governance activities to improve decision-making and reporting accuracy Reporting & Analytics ● Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and operational reports ● Support executive and leadership reporting through data analysis and visualization ● Perform data validation, reconciliation, and data quality improvements ● Respond to ad hoc reporting and analytical requests from business stakeholders Vendor & Financial Operations ● Track and report on third-party spend, renewals, maintenance agreements, and software subscriptions ● Maintain governance trackers and reporting artifacts supporting vendor management activities ● Collaborate with Finance, SCM, and IT teams to ensure reporting accuracy and governance compliance Process Automation & Continuous Improvement ● Support workflow automation initiatives using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate ● Assist with the development and maintenance of automated governance and approval workflows ● Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process enhancements SharePoint & Knowledge Management ● Maintain SharePoint sites, governance documentation, and knowledge repositories ● Ensure governance documentation remains accurate, organized, and up to date ● Support SharePoint maintenance and migration activities related to governance processes Operational Support ● Support operational governance processes and approval workflows ● Assist with access governance, role ownership, and process continuity ● Participate in documentation updates and knowledge transfer initiatives
Required Qualifications ● Post-secondary degree in: ○ Business ○ Information Technology ○ Finance ○ Computer Science ○ Related discipline ● 10+ years of professional experience, including 3–5 years supporting IT operations, governance, reporting, financial management, or business analysis functions ● Experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports ● Advanced Microsoft Excel skills ● Experience with SharePoint administration and document management ● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills ● Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Preferred Qualifications ● Experience supporting: ○ IT Financial Management (ITFM) ○ Vendor management ○ Procurement processes ● Experience with: ○ Power Apps ○ Power Automate ○ ServiceNow ○ ERP platforms ● Knowledge of: ○ SOX controls ○ Governance frameworks ○ Audit and compliance processes ● Experience working in a large enterprise environment Ideal Candidate Profile ● Experienced IT operations and financial analyst with a strong governance mindset ● Skilled at transforming complex data into meaningful dashboards and business insights ● Strong collaborator who can work effectively across IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and business teams ● Detail-oriented with a passion for process improvement and automation ● Comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy
