Job Title – Business System Analyst - Insurance Domain
About The Role The Business System Analyst position will be part of the Group Functions Engineering and Operations. Reporting to the Senior Director, the BSA will focus on systems migration, process improvement and support transition between teams and ensure the project success by assisting the Project Manager wherever necessary. The role of the BSA is to assist in systems migration and software upgrades.
In This Role, You Will
- Define and document project requirements, identifying project milestones, and phases. Create systems documentation including Standard Operating Procedures and serve as a contributor to technical business processes review and redesign.
- Assist the Project Managers in monitoring project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and creating a communication plan
- Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Responsibilities
- Analyzes system requirements, constructing workflow charts, and writing specifications.
- Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports.
- Author and update internal technical solution documents, system requirements and RACI documentation.
- Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems.
- Lead the project team in utilizing Sharepoint, Jira and Confluence
- High proficiency in technical writing with 3 to 5 years experiencing in developing business requirements and creating project documentation and solution artifacts.
- Manage sprints in an agile development environment.
- Experience in leading process review and improvement initiatives to ensure smooth transitions.
- Coordinating with other team members in the organization to create or improve workflows.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong experience using Microsoft applications such as MS Office Suite

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
- 3 to 5 years of prior work experience as a Business Systems Analyst
- 2 to 3 years' experience in using SharePoint, Jira and Confluence
- High proficiency in technical writing with 3 to 5 years experiencing in developing business requirements and creating project documentation and solution artifacts.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Experience in leading process review and improvement initiatives to ensure smooth transitions.
- Coordinating with other team members in the organization to create or improve workflows.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong experience using Microsoft applications such as MS Office Suite Nice to have
- Working knowledge and understanding of hosting environment such as Azure
- Proven ability to manage projects and user testing
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with colleagues, the management team, and internal partners
- Analytical thinking skills
- Knowledge of basic computer programs and concepts such as scaling, database analyses, and software interfaces

Salary And Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between CAD 85,000 – CAD 145,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
