Execute all facets of projects including the financial and technical success. Serve as primary contact between Dedert and customer’s designated representatives. Coordinate the efforts of the Lead Designer and Process Engineer assigned to his projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors schedule and all tasks to ensure projects are performed on time
Writes equipment specifications and coordinates with process engineer to ensure accuracy Assists purchasing department in negotiations with suppliers Prepares Purchase Order Requisitions Works with Design Department and answers all questions on equipment specifications Reviews internal and external drawings to ensure equipment meets correct specifications Ensures that Quality Assurance Inspector performs inspections of the fabricated and purchased equipment Maintains Project Control Chart and tracks all costs to maximize profit margins Maintains Electronic Project files Ensures timely invoicing to Customers to maximize cash flow Approves suppliers’ invoices Collects all Spare Parts prices in conjunction with the purchasing department Collects all documentations required for the project Prepares Operating and Maintenance Manuals
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum ten years’ experience in a Project Engineering field of large industrial evaporator and dryer systems Fabrication and welding techniques including associated quality expectations Good computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and Word Good interpersonal skills Excellent communications skills both in English and French
