The TLM Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting materials, parts, and/or products for conformance to blueprint specifications and standards using fixed or preset measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect material or product for visual or surface defects such as cracks, pits and damaged finish, incomplete welds, structural flaws, hardness, etc.
- Verify specified dimensions of product or material with precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and special gauges
- Make acceptance/rejection decisions, referring questionable cases to supervisor
- Identify and separate rejected parts, products or assemblies, interpret test results and work with production to assure that corrective action is taken on defective items
- Maintain records and complete inspection reports and non-conformance reports as required
- Visually inspect and verify equipment to ensure accuracy
- Verify third party reports for conformance and accuracy
- Input/extract information to/from SAP
- Focus on continuous improvement in all areas
- Ensure safe working practices and adheres to procedures
Qualifications And Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience with oilfield products, experience assembling/disassembling oilfield equipment
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and API Q1 10th edition
- Knowledge in NDE with LPI, MPI, NDE, PMI, Visual weld inspection preferrable
- Forklift operation certification, overhead crane operation certification, WHMIS, Emergency First Aid preferrable
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
