We are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated and QA Analyst to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.

The ideal candidate will mainly focus on product quality data collecting, filtering, analyzing and monitoring the trends in each stage of product lifecycle to support quality management team addressing quality issues and improving product quality from NPI to after sale. The successful candidate must prove his/her capability and skill sets on working with design teams to address and resolve product quality issues, and show proven track records on product quality control, engineering process improvement and quality statistic data analysis. The position is based in Burnaby, BC

As a QA Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collect and maintain product quality data (HW & SW) in each product stage such as NPI, PQC, IQC, RMA for key product lines and identify major product failure modes through quality data statistical analysis.
  • Create and maintain product RMA rate concise and meaningful quality metrics based on RMA data analysis, monitor and adjust them as situation changes.
  • Identify product quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, define feasible and meaningful goals, and drive quality initiatives and corrective actions for results.
  • Provide quality data to support root cause analysis activities and follow up with both in-house design teams and off-shore OEM partners/suppliers in situations where quality data are not readily available.
  • Track and maintain product quality related RCA, CAR/PAR tickets; build and maintain a valuable lessons learnt quality database and provide valuable quality feedback and suggestions to design teams through quality case study and failure analysis.
  • Play a key role to leverage internal resources to support Technical Support teams to address customer escalated product quality issues.
  • Work with tools development team to create new tools per business needs and to improve usability and data accuracy on existing tools and database for product quality records.
  • Proactively initiate and execute new ideas to improve products and processes quality. Perform internal audit as necessary.

We are looking for:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Telecommunication, IT or related industry with quality control and quality data analysis focus.
  • Solid background in hardware and software engineering practices, in the meantime grasps a good understanding of hardware design and manufacturing process.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software related to products like networking, routing, switching, firewalls, routers, etc.
  • Previous hands-on experience in identifying product failure modes and conducting root cause analysis is required.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, and fastidious attention to detail.
  • Previous experience of using scripting tools (e.g. pl, Python, etc.) and MS excel for product quality data analysis is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.
  • A good team player.
  • Bachelor degree in Comp. Science, EE or other relevant technical field, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $79,700- $97,400 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
