The Role: As a member of our Strategy, Planning & Analysis (SP&A) team at IGM, you will be joining a highly collaborative group dedicated to improving decision-making and supporting the organization in achieving its strategic objectives and driving profitable growth. Our team is enthusiastic about delivering high-quality insights, forward-looking analysis, and effective financial management across IGM Financial.

Within SP&A, the Senior Analyst, Finance - Projects plays a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of financial and business management by providing timely, accurate reporting, pro-active analysis, and insightful planning support. We place a strong emphasis on excellence, governance, and rigorous controls in every process we deliver.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Finance , this role supports IGM’s project financial management, planning & forecasting process, processing monthly project accounting invoices, and preparing monthly Technology Project and Delivery Leader Reporting for management analysis and decision-making. You will collaborate closely with technology project teams to ensure financial information is clear, accurate and actionable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly project spend/expense reporting and analysis and provide timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets.
  • Prepare monthly delivery leader reporting, analysis and presentations for decision-making.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and presentations to support business decisions on various ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
  • Support the Technology chargeback processes
  • Utilize tooling that delivers the technology business management (TBM) methodology for cost transparency and recovery.
  • Work closely with other business partners and project stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development of quarterly expense forecasting and the annual planning process.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities (invoices and accrual submissions and account reconciliations).
  • Identify and implement areas for process improvement and increased efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Business degree and/or Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA)
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting/Finance
  • Advanced financial and business modelling skills, including expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project reporting experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate and manage relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively handle pressures of deadlines, changing priorities and work volumes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The expected annual base salary range for this role i s $65,500 - $91,000, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
