About the role
THE OPPORTUNITY
Western Forest Products is currently seeking a fully qualified Grapple Yarder Hooktender to join our Englewood Forest Operation located in Woss, BC.
What We Offer:
- United Steel Worker (USW) union wage rate of $44.91

Shifts: This position is currently on a 5x2 shift, 5 days on and 2 days off, 8 hours per day.
This role is considered safety sensitive; all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Fully qualified in all aspects of the job with minimum 2 years of experience in BC Coastal Logging;
- Preference may be given to applicants holding a valid Immediate First Aid certificate. Successful applicants who do not currently hold this certification must be willing to obtain it.
Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies
- Excellent safety record and strong work ethic;
- Highly motivated team player with excellent time management skills;
- Creative and innovative thinking;
- Logical problem solving;
- Accountable and dependable;
- Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
