As an Oncology Medical Affairs Intern, you will be part of a team focused on excellence in execution and dedicated to advancing our broad pipeline of next-generation cancer medicines.
You will collaborate closely with Medical Advisors on projects and tactics that meet the evolving needs of the Oncology Medical Affairs team. You will support strategic objectives and contribute to initiatives with both regional and national impact. You will gain exposure to real-world pharmaceutical strategy and experience working with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities May Include
- Assist in the project management and execution of medical affairs tactics and projects (e.g., advisory boards, medical plans, congress support, pre-launch planning)
- Develop communication tools and content that support team strategy
- Conduct literature searches and develop scientific summaries to inform projects
- Participate in and/or coordinate team meetings and cross-functional collaborations
- Summarize team insights and activities to inform medical and cross-functional strategy
- Support general medical affairs field & head office projects as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Health Sciences at a minimum (Advanced degrees highly preferred)
- Demonstrated interest in medical affairs and the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong initiative, self-motivated, and effective time management skills
- Analytical skills and ability to interpret complex information
- Agility and solution oriented mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Collaborative team player with demonstrated leadership ability
- Understanding of clinical trials, clinical development programs and real-world/Phase IV studies
- Project management experience, experience working with AI tools are an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
