About the Role
The Senior Accountant is responsible for full-cycle accounting, compliance, treasury, cost accounting, and financial analysis. This role works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and timely financial insights that support management decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including working papers and summaries
- Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, and analytical reviews
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Lead budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Prepare cash flow projections and complete regular bank reconciliations
- Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analysis for management
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports for senior leadership
- Compliance & Systems
- Oversee tax filings and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support accounting software integrations, plug-ins, and maintenance
- Perform consolidations using specialized accounting software
- Liaise with departments to compile monthly financial and non-financial KPIs
Qualifications
- CPA designation (or actively writing final exam)
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a senior or leadership role
- Public practice experience strongly preferred
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Sage products
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and process-improvement focused
Pay range and compensation package
$65,000 - $90,000
