About the role

Job Summary The Director of Enterprise Architecture is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and advancing SE Health’s enterprise architecture vision. This position establishes architecture discipline as a cornerstone of SE Health’s modernization strategy by aligning technology capabilities with business priorities, enabling digital transformation, and ensuring successful integration of critical platforms such as the digital patient record, people/finance/payroll systems, contact center, service management, and others.

The Director leads enterprise-wide architecture decisions that drive agility, scalability, security, and measurable business outcomes. This includes building and maturing the Enterprise Architecture function, establishing an Architecture Review Board, and delivering a three-year technology roadmap that incorporates migrating legacy HCM and scheduling systems to the cloud and deploying an enterprise data lake. The Director ensures successful architecture and integration of platforms such as Salesforce and Workday, while driving adoption of best practices, standards, and governance across technology domains. By translating business objectives into coherent, secure, and sustainable technology designs, the Director plays a critical role in spearheading a digital transformation that enhances the experience of patients, families, employees, and clients, supporting SE Health’s mission of exceptional home and community care.

Technology, Cloud and Systems Integration Architecture

  • Lead the architecture, integration, and modernization of core enterprise platforms, including Salesforce, Workday, Procura, ERP, CRM, HRIS, Finance, and scheduling systems, to enable a cohesive and interoperable ecosystem across business and clinical operations.
  • Define and oversee enterprise reference architectures, integration and data standards, patterns, and roadmaps that promote modernization, automation, analytics enablement, and business process optimization.
  • Lead modernization efforts to rationalize applications, reduce technical debt, and migrate or retire legacy platforms using a cloud-smart, scalable approach.
  • Oversee enterprise solution architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments to ensure performance, resilience, security, and cost-efficiency, including multi-cloud strategy across AWS and Azure.
  • Guide adoption of architectural best practices across security, operational excellence, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization domains.
  • Review and evaluate solution designs and technology proposals, providing direction and recommendations through architecture governance forums.
  • Analyze enterprise technology and data architecture requirements to support new applications, system scalability, and platform integrations.

Leadership, People and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing enterprise architecture team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement and EA maturity by introducing modern frameworks, methodologies, and tooling (e.g., TOGAF, HOPEX) to enhance consistency, documentation, and solution quality.
  • Embed security and privacy by design across architecture practices, ensuring adherence to cybersecurity, privacy, and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships with Digital, Security, and Business leaders to influence technology strategy, support demand intake, and ensure alignment of solutions to business needs.
  • Champion digital transformation and innovation by evaluating emerging technologies (e.g., mobile, IoT, telehealth, AI) and recommending their adoption where they advance SE Health’s mission and services.

Data and Analytics Architecture

  • Define enterprise data architecture strategies, standards, and models that enable analytics, AI, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics teams to design and evolve data platforms (e.g., data lake/warehouse) to support enterprise information management, governance, reporting, and advanced analytics.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to data architecture and solution design teams on data and integration best practices.
  • Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to support AI-enabled insights, intelligent automation, and emerging technologies that drive value for clinical and business functions.

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise/solution architecture, including leading modernization and large-scale integration initiatives in complex environments.
