As the Head of Technology at Flexiti, you will be a strategic leader responsible for defining and executing Flexiti’s technology strategy. You'll lead a critical transformation project, modernizing our platform to a microservices architecture to drive velocity and innovation. Working closely with various teams and enterprise-wide Centers of Excellence (COEs), you will ensure our technology aligns with business objectives and supports an AI-first culture.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Technology Strategy & Vision: Develop and implement a technology roadmap that drives sustainable growth and competitive advantage. You will lead our architectural evolution to a modern, microservices-based platform, designed for scale and product innovation in alignment with Enterprise Architecture. Effectively balance time to market with strategic considerations.
• Engineering Leadership & Transformation: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of all technology solutions. Drive a culture of agile, high-performing teams, and leverage DevOps best practices to accelerate product delivery.
• AI Adoption & Innovation: Champion the adoption of an AI-first culture, fostering data-driven decision-making and leveraging AI to enhance customer personalization, and optimize operations.
• IT System Management & Cybersecurity: In partnership with Enterprise Cybersecurity COE, you will oversee the management and security of all IT systems. Ensure engineering compliance with secure application development best practices, security-by-design, privacy-by-design and resolution of vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with enterprise IT, Data and Cyber governance frameworks and policies and industry regulations ensuring transparency and appropriately mitigating risk.
• Site Reliability Engineering: Drive the maturation and adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices as a direct driver of application availability and performance. This includes defining and prioritizing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for Flexiti applications, advocating for toil reduction, and fostering a blameless culture. Be accountable for Flexiti applications' production monitoring and initial incident response.
• Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR): Develop and maintain BCDR plans for Flexiti specific applications and data, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business units and senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business outcomes. Translate technical capabilities into tangible business value and ensure seamless integration of new technology into business operations.
• Enterprise COE Integration: Collaborate with enterprise Centers of Excellence (COEs) on engineering standards and practices, AI adoption across the SDLC, and implementation of cloud, API, and data strategies to ensure alignment with broader organizational best practices and leverage shared expertise.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with Flexiti external technology vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effective service delivery and alignment with Flexiti's operational and strategic goals.

Business and Technology Knowledge

• Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns that prioritize velocity, security, and scalability.
• Expertise in governance, risk, and control, with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
• Extensive experience with modern digital product delivery practices in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Has strong business acumen and business planning skills
• Expertise in budget planning, financial management for technology
• Expert knowledge of how to deliver results in alignment with a controls framework.
• Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies especially AI and strategic application to business needs
• Advanced expertise with modern practices of Agile, SAFe, DevOps, SRE, Chapters and the application to large-scale complex technology organizations
