Executive Assistant

Our client in the broader public sector is seeking a highly skilled Executive Assistant for a long-term 1 year assignment.

This is a hands-on coordination role providing high-level administrative support to senior leadership while ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day executive office activities. In this role, you will manage complex calendars, coordinate internal and external meetings, prepare correspondence and briefing materials, and support the flow of information between internal teams and external stakeholders.

You will also coordinate meeting logistics, support leadership or board meetings, prepare reports and briefing notes, track action items, and assist with travel arrangements and expense reconciliation. This role may also support project coordination and contribute to process improvements that enhance executive office operations.

Qualifications

  • You have 5+ years of experience providing executive support to a Vice President, Director and/or CEO;
  • You have experience managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, and preparing executive correspondence or briefing materials;
  • You demonstrate strong political acuity and the ability to navigate sensitive or complex stakeholder environments;
  • You work well under pressure with competing priorities and tight deadlines;
  • You are highly organized, tech-savvy, and have strong writing and analytical skills;
  • You demonstrate sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information;
  • You are a skilled multi-tasker and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment;
  • Previous experience working within the Ontario Public Service or broader public sector is an asset.
