About the role
Securiguard is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join our guard in car team. The guard will remain on-site in a parked vehicle to observe and protect the premises, deter suspicious activity, and ensure the safety and security of the property. This is a temporary contract for 3 weeks only.
What you contribute:
- Valid Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR
- Previous security experience preferred
- Previous Use of Force training and arrest experience will be considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare professional daily and/or incident security reports.
- Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Canada Criminal Code and 494(c)
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to conduct arrests in appropriate and sanctioned situations.
- Strong observational skills and situational awareness
- Able to stand/patrol up for up to 12 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Remain stationed in a vehicle at assigned site during shift
- Monitor the property continuously for suspicious activity or security threats
- Maintain visual surveillance of entrances, driveway, and surrounding areas
- Deter trespassing, theft, or unwanted activity through visible presence
- Respond immediately to incidents, alarms, or disturbances
- Contact dispatch, supervisor, or emergency services when required
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports during the shift
Pay Rate: $20 up to $23
