About the role
Position Summary The CCU is looking for enthusiastic staff who are willing to take on new challenges and opportunities to ensure the best possible care is being delivered to our patients. You will be responsible for:
- The care of acutely ill cardiac patients
- Hemodynamic and ventilator support monitoring
- Care planning and coordination with various team members embracing a patient-centred philosophy
- Utilization of an electronic documentation system
- Participation in Health Centre projects and committees
Qualifications
- Currently registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Bachelor of Nursing preferred
- Coronary Care 1 preferred
- Critical Care Level 2 Certificate or equivalent from an accredited academic institution preferred.
- Critical Care Level 2 ICU Program Sponsorship available
- Two years of recent clinical experience with cardiac patients and telemetry preferred
- Current BLS certificate required.
- Current ACLS certificate required or completed within 6 months of hire.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a team player.
- Critical thinking/problem solving skills.
