Job Profile
As a Field HSE Advisor, you’ll play a vital role in shaping and advancing safety at DFI. You’ll be at the forefront of continuous improvement, leading field observations, inspections, event learnings, and driving impactful initiatives. You’ll be part of a collaborate and passionate team where your expertise will help us create meaningful change — while you grow your own skills and career.

Job Duties
- Drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices, helping us set new standards for excellence
- Create, update, and champion HSE procedures and standards that keep our teams safe and empowered
- Collaborate closely with field operations, inspiring a proactive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and technical support
- Lead engaging training programs and support occupational health initiatives that make a real difference for our people
- Conduct impactful field visits, inspections, and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement and celebrating successes
- Partner with operations to investigate incidents, uncover root causes, and develop effective solutions that drive positive change
- Work together with operations to review, verify, and update job hazard assessments, making sure our practices stay current and effective
- Support the management of work-related injury and illness claims, ensuring a safe and supportive return-to-work process
- Harness data and technology to advance our HSE systems and track progress toward our goals
Qualifications
- Recognized post-secondary OH&S certificate or diploma
- NCSO or CRSP Designation preferred
- COR Auditor Certificate an asset
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Self-starter with a passion for safety and innovation
- Exceptional time management, communication and technical writing skills
- Extensive knowledge of HSE Management systems, WCB, regulatory and industry standards
- Able to regularly travel to support our field operations (up to 80%)
