Job Summary
Housing and Campus Connections operates and coordinates a wide range of vital campus services, from residence and housing to food service to summer accommodations. Reporting to the Manager, Front Desk Operations, the Front Desk Supervisor ensures consistent processes and standards for the front desk operations
Key Responsibilities
-
Serve as the senior front-facing representative, handling inquiries from students, parents, guests, and facilities staff in the academic year, and guests in the conference and event planning (summer operations) season.

Coordinate pre-arrival for academic residents, ensure that rooms are clean and ready for check in, prepare mailboxes and key packages, deploy building signage, etc.

In conference and event planning (summer operations) season, coordinate check-in/check-out processes, room assignments, and billing using KX and SMS systems, and handle guest concerns.

Maintains the key inventory system, completes weekly cash deposits, supervises laundry coin collection, and receives and sorts mail and parcel deliveries for building residents.

Lead the transition of front desk operations and staff between conference and event planning (summer operations) and academic year front desk operations.

Supervise a team of up to 30 student front desk staff.
Note
Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.
Required Qualifications
-
Business Administration or Administrative Professional program with three to five years’ related experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).

Experience in writing training documents and delivering training through varying formats.
-
Proficient microcomputer (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook) skills.
-
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment with ongoing interruption.
Assets

Experience working in a conference and events or residence operation.

Experience using KX, OneCard and Access systems.
-
Experience supervising a team of student staff.
