Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Supervisor! 📍 Markham, ON 💰 $21.42/hour 🕒 Full Time - On Site About The Role Paladin Security is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to lead and coordinate the work of our security team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff scheduling and training, and ensure the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service across all sites. You will be a key liaison between security staff, city departments, and the community, ensuring security operations run efficiently and incidents are managed appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise and schedule all security guards.
- Oversee signing of reports, logs, and other records as required by Corporate Security leadership.
- Administer security systems including service calls, equipment tracking, and staff training.
- Maintain adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate coverage requests and special event security arrangements.
- Conduct regular reviews of on-site post orders and update as needed.
- Lead training for all new security staff and facilitate ongoing training for all team members.
- Maintain incident logs, ensuring accurate and complete records.
- Respond to and manage incidents in coordination with Corporate Security, emergency services, and law enforcement when necessary.
- De-escalate crises and provide support to staff and the public.
- Serve as liaison with City departments and the community.
- Identify and report unsafe working conditions.
- Provide first aid and medical assistance as required.
- Deliver excellent customer service to community members
Requirements Must Have Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Successfully completed Supervisor Training
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Minimum 1 year security experience
- Post-secondary education in a Security or Policing related field
- Minimum 2 years Security Supervisor experience
Nice to Have (Assets)
- Completed Security or Police Foundations training
- Ability to meet physical demands: excessive walking, standing, exposure to all weather conditions
- 1+ year Security Guard experience in a municipal government or corporate setting
