Make an impact with our Consulting – Performance Improvement team as a Manager. This dynamic and diverse group of professionals specializes in streamlining processes, enhancing efficiencies, and unlocking enterprise value across the M&A life cycle – from pre-sale performance improvement to post-close execution. As a trusted advisor, you’ll partner with clients and deal teams to identify improvement opportunities, evaluate synergies, and implement strategic initiatives that drive sustainable, competitive advantage. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage operational due diligence and performance improvements teams to evaluate acquisition targets with a focus on post close improvement opportunities and identification of operational risks
- Identify and quantify synergies and related one-time costs in conjunction with financial diligence teams
- Develop value capture models
- Support and lead post close Value Creation teams as they implement the initiatives identified throughout diligence
- Mentor, train and develop junior resources on firm methodology and approach etc.
- Support internal and external business development initiatives
- Lead practice development initiatives such as marketing, recruiting, and training material development
- Travel requirements will vary based on the specific client engagement. For implementation projects, travel may be required up to 75% of the time. Other engagements, such as diligence work, typically involve less travel and can often be supported through a flexible hybrid model, with the option to work remotely or from our downtown Vancouver office
Skills and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance and accounting, or another related field
- 5+ years of experience in either management/operations consulting, value creation, private equity or related industry role
- Previous operational due diligence experience is considered a strong asset
- Previous experience working with private equity or with portfolio companies is desirable
- Extremely strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to work across multiple work streams
- Excellent excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling abilities
- Comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Industry experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics and distribution/supply chain is considered a strong plus
