About the role

Job Description This person delivers internal and external training to customers and staff using specific course outlines, materials, and equipment designated by safety consultant.

  • Trains students using a systematic plan of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, shop sessions, seminars, case studies, field assignments and independent or group projects and practical exercises.
  • Prepares, administers, and marks tests and papers, including practical exercises to evaluate students' progress.
  • Coordinates course logistics, including books, handouts collateral material, samples, certificates, flights, hotels, and car rentals.
  • Supervises independent or group projects, field placements, work groups or hands-on training.
  • Participates in preparation of budgets, curriculum revision, and course and diploma requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains relationship with local regulatory bodies and provide updates to local management.
  • Submits training documents and pictures to branch administrative assistant upon course completion.
  • Liaises with senior sales associate and safety consultant regarding training schedule.
  • Refers sales relating to equipment and service to senior sales associate and business development team to provide further information, or schedule training.

Experience

  • 1 year required, 3 years preferred safety training.
  • 1 year required, 3 years preferred adult education.

Education

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required, associate's degree preferred.
  • CRSP, CSC, CSO preferred

Skills

  • Ability to prepare, administer and mark tests/papers to evaluate student’s progress.
  • Evaluate the student’s practical abilities to perform the necessary safety tasks
  • Prepare teaching materials and course outlines
  • Use audio visual equipment
  • Ability to adapt to diverse groups and learning styles
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills

Working Environment

  • Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
  • Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.
  • Work may require excessive bending or stooping.
  • Employee required to climb ladders.
  • Employee required to use hand tools.

Mental Requirements

  • Employee required to organize and coordinate schedules.
  • Employee required to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Employee required to calibrate precise measurements.
  • Employee required to problem-solve.
  • Employee required to communicate with the public.

Compensation Details: $61,159 - $91,739 Annually

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may also include participation in a bonus or sales compensation plan paid according to achievement against sales targets and/or business objectives. Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package.
