Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, On-site Schedule: Monday to Friday, set between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Wage: $22-$28 based on experience

About Us

Terra Archaeology Ltd. is a well-established consulting firm specializing in cultural resource management and archaeological services throughout British Columbia. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing information for data entry Identifying errors and correcting typos or discrepancies in data Entering data into a variety of client systems Clerical support for A/P, A/R, payroll, and project tracking Enter, verify, and update information in company databases, spreadsheets, and software systems. Review source documents for completeness and accuracy before data entry. Maintain electronic and paper records in accordance with company procedures. Scan, file, and organize documents. Perform regular quality checks to identify and correct data errors. Assist with compiling reports, spreadsheets, and project information. Support project coordinators by entering timesheets, expenses, invoices, and other records as required. Assist with maintaining employee, client, project, and equipment records. Maintain confidentiality of employee, client, and company information. Follow company policies regarding privacy, information security, and records management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Administrative Assistant, Office Administration, or Business Administration training is considered an asset. 1–3 years of data entry or administrative experience. Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy. Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to learn new software systems quickly. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Working Conditions

Office Staff work in a shared office environment with frequent collaboration, moderate noise, and potential interruptions. Maintaining focus, professionalism, and adaptability is essential.
