Technical Sales Specialist, Dry Ice Applications (Full-Time) - Calgary or Edmonton, AB
Primary Purpose
The Technical Sales Specialist – Dry Ice Applications will be responsible for promoting sales and provides account service to dry ice customers in Western Canada. The individual in this position will be accountable for achieving quota by prospecting new customers and growing existing relationships for the dry ice business.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide technical dry ice support to Territory Managers and retail locations
- Grow the dry ice sales at our retail locations
- Create long term strategic plan for the different regions in Western Canada taking into account, differences in regional customers
- New business growth in dry ice applications
- Review markets and develop strategies to grow them
- Focuses on sales quota, new business development & maintaining customer relationships
- Responsible for gross profit improvement and securing new business
- Improves the profitability of existing accounts by fully understanding value propositions
- Supports and implements marketing plans, promotions and new product launches
- Secures long term relationship by negotiating product supply agreements
- Accountable for providing complete and accurate account set-up and pricing data
- Maintain list of target accounts and qualifies new business leads, using the customer relationship management system
- Conducts competitive intelligence
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure quality of dry ice supply to end users
- Work closely with the region Territory Managers, in a team solution selling approach
- Demonstrates products to new account customers
Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
Experience
- Prefer 5-7 years outside sales experience
- Technical knowledge of dry ice applications
- Knowledge of food processing, healthcare and food supply chains, cannabis and dry ice blasting essential
- Ability to present to customers and lead professional presentations to all levels of an organization
