The Role

The Photography Coordinator provides administrative, creative, and operational support to the Photography Manager and department leadership team. This role focuses on documentation, training material development, Quality control, communication support, and creative asset preparation.

This position does not oversee warehouse operations or field supervision but may assist other departments when required. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and able to learn new systems quickly.

Photographer Support

  • Provide support for photographers as needed, including:
    • Photography department workflows and written processes
    • Technical and program support according to photography department manuals
    • Photographing as assigned in territories or the studio across all programs

Photographer Training & Development

  • Support photographer training and development, including:
    • Field supervision, training, mentoring, and quality control
    • Reviewing images and providing consistent feedback to photography teams
    • Communicating photography department updates and standards
    • Assisting with “train the trainer” sessions for new and returning photographers across territories
    • Coordinating training logistics as required
    • Collaborating with the Photography Manager, Territory Managers, Leads, and Senior Photographers to secure locations and equipment for training sessions
    • Maintaining detailed knowledge of all Edge Imaging photography programs and procedures to support program implementation
    • Representing the company with the highest level of professionalism

Documentation, Design & Manual Development

  • Assist in the creation, editing, formatting, and maintenance of photography manuals, workflows, and training materials
  • Update documentation as programs evolve
  • Ensure clarity, structure, and alignment with company standards
  • Organize digital files and maintain version control of department documents
  • Develop internal guides, visual references, and instructional content
  • Create and edit internal documents, visual assets, and training materials using design software

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Support scheduling, communication tracking, and organization of departmental documentation
  • Assist with cross-department coordination as required
  • Provide administrative support to the Photography Manager
  • Provide support to related departments when needed.
  • Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned

Video & Multimedia Support (Asset)

  • Assist in filming and editing training or internal communication videos
  • Support creation of short instructional or promotional videos
  • Organize and maintain video assets for internal use

What We’re Looking For

  • Photography degree or diploma preferred
  • 2 years of Edge Imaging field photography preferred or relevant experience
  • Ability to deal with multiple and changing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with design programs (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools) preferred
  • Video editing experience is considered a strong asset
  • Experience working with children is an asset
  • Available to travel to the main office in Burlington.
  • Excellent computer skills with a good understanding of Office 365
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes quickly
  • Excellent understanding of Edge Capture and DSLR Remote Pro
  • Excellent Understanding of Canon Cameras and Lenses
  • Excellent understanding of Hensel Lights
  • As part of the employment criteria, individuals need to meet the company's criminal check requirements and must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Full-time – in-person - Head office location: Burlington, ON
  • Fast-paced office environment
  • School environment from Kindergarten to University
  • Travel required within Canada
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Ability to push up to 60lbs using appropriate equipment provided
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend repetitively for extensive periods of time
  • Have access to a reliable vehicle
  • A valid driver’s license and car insurance is required
