Firefly Solar is a leader in renewable energy solutions, delivering high-quality solar

projects across Canada. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee utility-

scale and commercial solar projects from concept through completion.

About the Role

This position is ideal for a results-driven leader with strong technical knowledge of

solar energy systems. You will manage all aspects of project delivery, including planning,

permitting, procurement, scheduling, and on-site execution. This position will play a vital

role in developing and guiding our growing project delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle for commercial and utility-scale solar installations.

• Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules; track progress and maintain reporting for

internal and client stakeholders.

• Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities, including vendor

and subcontractor management.

• Manage contracts, permits, purchase orders, and project documentation.

• Oversee on-site execution, including construction progress, quality assurance, and

adherence to safety standards and regulations.

• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and

internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in renewable energy, with specific experience

managing solar projects strongly preferred.

• Solid understanding of solar PV technology, construction practices, and electrical

systems.

• Demonstrated success in managing budgets exceeding $500K+ and delivering projects on

time.

• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and

financial tracking tools.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• PMP or equivalent certification considered an asset.

• Ability to travel up to 30% to project sites across Canada.
