About the role

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Houseperson is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas and ensures the smooth running of the housekeeping operation while responding to the needs of guests.

YOUR ROLE

  • Clean hotel public spaces (lobby, front of the hotel, office space, public bathrooms, fitness room, garage, staff room) according to the company's standards, including the daily vacuuming carpets, cleaning doors and windows and the removal of garbage and recyclables where applicable.

  • Ensure all corridors, housekeeping closets and public areas are cleaned to company standards

  • Clean and restock linen rooms

  • Collect items to be laundered

  • Complete daily assignment sheets and document any mechanical problems in the public spaces

YOUR PROFILE

  • Previous cleaning experience
  • Understanding of Health and Safety
  • Organized, able to plan ahead, manage workload
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Have an eye for detail, order and cleanliness
  • Able to stand/walk for up to 5 hours at a time, lift/carry/push up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic communication skill
