About the Role:
The Field Application Engineer supports the adoption and effective use of Siemens EDA’s Solido Design Environment (DE) solutions. This is an external-facing, customer-focused role that partners with semiconductor design teams to execute technical evaluations, support deployments, and contribute to technical sales activities.
The role works closely with customer engineering teams and first-level management, acting as a first-line technical advisor for characterization, verification, and optimization workflows used in analog, mixed-signal, and custom digital circuit design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customer engineers, technical leads, and CAD/methodology teams.
- Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to communicate solution value.
- Support customer deployments by identifying and helping resolve workflow, infrastructure, or methodology issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant experience in a technical role related to semiconductor design, software, or engineering.
- Must be available to work from our Saskatoon facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field.
- Experience or exposure to semiconductor design workflows, characterization, verification, or optimization methodologies.
- Strong circuit design background (analog, mixed-signal, or custom digital) is an asset.
- Prior experience with EDA tools or design automation environments is beneficial but not required.

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
